2023-24. The increase in passengers and trains has led to overcrowding and difficulties in accommodating new trains. There is a plan to extend trains ending in Gorakhpur to further stations. Despite an increase in the average train speed due to electrification in February 2024, there is still a high demand for confirmed tickets during festivals and special trains run full. The station's capacity has not increased since its yard remodeling in 2013-14, while the number of trains has grown significantly. The railway spokesperson, Pankaj Kumar Singh, attributed the passenger growth to improved services offered by the North Eastern Railway.

se zyada special trains chalani padi. Passengers aur trains ki badhti sankhya ki wajah se, overcrowding aur new trains ko accommodate karne mein mushkil aa rahi hai. Gorakhpur mein khatam hone wali trains ko aage ke stations tak extend karne ka plan hai. February 2024 mein electrification hone ke baad trains ki average speed badh gayi hai, lekin festivals mein confirmed tickets ke liye abhi bhi bahut zyada demand hai aur special trains full chalti hain. Station ki capacity 2013-14 mein yard remodeling ke baad se nahi badhi hai, lekin trains ki sankhya kaafi badh gayi hai. Railway spokesperson, Pankaj Kumar Singh ne yeh badhaav North Eastern Railway ki improved services se jodkar dekha.
