Rakes are very old .... 2004 made coaches were still being used in this train....
This train is the lifeline of Chennai, Andhra, Odisha and Bengal people....
If major accident occurs Railways must take responsibility (Coromandel express has had an grevious accident in 2008 near Jajpur Keonjhar Road) now recently Bikaner
Buffers are not mandatory in CBC coaches.
Its maintenance has always been worst. I had a traumatic experience travelling in Coro/HWH Mail. While IR is responsible for maintaing the rakes, passengers do share an equal responsibility in maintaing the cleanliness of the train. Moreover, the TAT of Howrah Mail at MAS before it leaves as Coro is very very less. Gets only PF attention at MAS. Strange that SER didnt even convert one rake to LHB.
Its not half broken. The design of that buffer is like that.
As far as I have seen, no cleaning happens at MAS. Just rolling stock examination.
why not swr can run a duranto express between sbc to aii
The very idea of Duronto is to have limited technical halts enroute with an aggressive schedule. But IR converted all of those halts to commercial ones and slowed down many Durontos. So, the concept is dead even though we have trains in that name now. No more Durontos will be introduced in future.

KSR Bengaluru - Chennai Shatabdi express skipping Baiyappanahalli at 110 kmph MPS while a man crossing track luckily escaped from this speeding train. Pls use Foot over bridge for crosing and don't use tracks. It is highly risky.
Tuticorin - Mysuru express was looped at Baiyappanahalli for late running Chennai - SSPN express to overtake. Enjoy the early morning high speed actions at Baiyappanahalli. Do watch and share the video.

Maintenance is not upto the mark these days.
Trials were conducted between MAS and JTJ few years back. But still no progress. Same is the case with MAS-GDR/RU.
