ATP-Gooty-Dhone--112 kms out of 112 kms 30 kms is single line from Gooty-pendekallu and ATP-GTL-Dhone--136 via kalluru-Gulpallyamu and doubled from ATP to Dhone.Just 24 kms is extra compare gooty to pendekallu route and one more disadvantage is trains have to cross Gooty station very slowly hardly it will take 10 mins sometimes it will take 20 mins due to freight traffic and one more station kalluru junction trains has to move slowly cross 5 to 10 mins.So point is Gooty-pendekallu-dhone time wastage would 20 mins via ATP or Guntakal-Dhone-ATP via Gulpalyamu would cover easily without crossing and speed is increased between GUNTAKAL to Anantapur increased to 110 km/hr ...GTL to ATP cover within 45 mins any express train.

Due to Loco reversal problem only at the peak hours they are bypassing GTL Jn there is no bus lobby or someother reason.GTL has well connected with Bellary.GTL is the biggest junction in terms of revenue from passengers as well as freight trains...Mainly SWR not allowing some additional trains or new destinations via Bellary they are only preferring only Hubli,Belgavi,Miraj,Dharwad.They are focusing target only freight trains in bellary-hospet-Guntakal section.
