Prayagraj and the Mahakumbh.

1. Divine, magnificent Kumbh decorations at the entrance of Prayagraj Junction.

2. ECR marked blue ICF Rake No. 27 of the Kumbh special at Platform 1.

3. 08426, Tundla-Bhubaneswar Kumbh special departing from Platform 3 of PRYJ.

4. Prayagraj Junction bustling with Kumbh specials.

5. Rake No. 62 of the Kumbh special parked between Platforms 8/9, led by CNB WAG-9HC 43139. It was trailed by a Pune WAG-9HC.

I forgot to remove the '62' I marked to remember the rake number.

6. 09421, Sabarmati-Banaras Kumbh special standing on Platform 8. Two RPF/RPSF personnel were allotted per coach for every train to ensure easy boarding/deboarding.

7. 03689, Gaya-Prayagraj Kumbh special arriving on Platform 5 led by DDU WAG-7. As with most of the ECR specials, this rake was also uniformly blue ICF.

8. DDU WAG-7 27522 trailing the Kumbh special from Gaya.

9. Freshly painted CR livery coaches of Rake No. 62 of the Kumbh special.

10. NR's Kumbh special, Rake No. 33. It was hauled and trailed by LKO ALCos.

Apart from the wonderful management of the Mahakumbh by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, the smooth handling of the enormous crowds by Indian Railways is truly commendable.
