Already the base fare of 3AC and 3AC economy is same. There is no 20% difference between 3AC and 3AC economy. It is just 5-10%. Total in fare 50-100 rupees. Those who want to travel by AC will not think of that 50-100 rupees. 3AC economy should be given garibrath fare and some sleeper coach can be reduced in all trains.

They should increase fares of slipper by 10-15%. But clearly they are reducing the number of berths in general quota and increased the number of berths in tatkal and premium tatkal quota. Now not to worry about the losses to trains because of sleeper coaches. They are charging express fare to passenger trains in the name of special trains. And anyhow, the losses will be almost covered from the income from the freight which will be indirectly born by the people. Also, there is a huge increase in passenger revenue compared to previous year due to hiked charges.
