Special trains from Santragachi were operated to Patna, Mumbai, Chennai, Puri, Secunderabad, Ajmer, Pune, etc., while special trains from Shalimar were operated to Chennai, Tirunelveli, Secunderabad, Bhanjpur, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, etc. In addition to this, the SER has made special arrangements at stations, including crowd control, deployment of additional RPF personnel, deployment of officers on emergency duty, announcement of train arrivals/departures, “I can help you” booths, etc. This year for Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja, Indian Railways has launched a total of 7,663 special train services from October 1 to November 30. In the same period last year, 4,429 trips were run. This is 73% more than last year. Indian Railways facilitated transportation for 957.24 lakh non-suburban passengers (in reserved and unreserved segments) during Diwali/Chhath 2024 (October 24 to November 4), which is 33.91 lakh more than last year.

Santragachi se special trains Patna, Mumbai, Chennai, Puri, Secunderabad, Ajmer, Pune etc. ke liye chalaayi gayi, aur Shalimar se trains Chennai, Tirunelveli, Secunderabad, Bhanjpur, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru etc. ke liye chalaayi gayi. Iske alawa, SER ne stations par special arrangements kiye hain, jismein crowd control, additional RPF personnel ki deployment, emergency duty par officers ki deployment, trains ke aagman/prathann ki ghosha, “Main aapki madad kar sakta hoon” booths etc. shamil hain. Is saal Durga Puja, Diwali aur Chhath Puja ke liye, Indian Railways ne 1 October se 30 November tak total 7,663 special train services shuru ki hain. Last year issi period mein 4,429 trips chalaayi gayi thi. Yeh last year ki tulna mein 73% zyada hai. Indian Railways ne Diwali/Chhath 2024 (24 October to 4 November) ke dauraan 957.24 lakh non-suburban passengers (reserved aur unreserved segments mein) ko parivahan ki suvidha pradan ki, jo last year ki tulna mein 33.91 lakh zyada hai.
