Two upcoming trains are in their final stages of manufacturing in Chennai.Bhubaneswar: Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday announced that around four Vande Bharat trains will be flagged off every month from September.During the National Railways Award ceremony, Vaishnaw said, "We have resolved to take Railways to new heights, at par with global standards. From September onwards, every month 4-5 Vande Bharat trains will be flagged off and work for bullet trains is also in progress."Earlier on Friday, an official statement from Indian Railways said that besides the two Vande Bharat trains already operational in India from New Delhi to Varanasi and New Delhi to Vaishnodevi Katra, two more Vande Bharat semi-high speed trains are expected to come up by August.These two upcoming trains are in their final stages of manufacturing by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.This is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on Independence Day...

news for passengers !!! It has been decided to extend the services of Train no. 02198 / 02197 Jabalpur Jn. - Coimbatore Jn. - Jabalpur Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special in co-ordination with West Central Railway with existing stoppages. Details are as under:

Train no. 02198 / 02197 Jabalpur Jn. - Coimbatore Jn. - Jabalpur Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special: 

Non Monsoon Timings: 

Train No. 02198 Jabalpur Jn. - Coimbatore Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special will leave from Jabalpur Jn. at 23:50 hrs on Friday 03rd June 2022. Train will reach Coimbatore Jn.  at  14:40 hrs on the third day.

Train No. 02197 Coimbatore Jn. - Jabalpur Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special  will leave from Coimbatore Jn. at 17:05 hrs on Monday 06th June 2022. Train will reach Jabalpur Jn. at 08:45 hrs on the third day.

Monsoon Timings :

Train No. 02198 Jabalpur Jn. - Coimbatore Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special will leave from Jabalpur Jn. at 23:50 hrs every Friday  from 10th June to 27th July 2022. Train will reach Coimbatore Jn.  at  17:10 hrs on the third day.

Train No. 02197 Coimbatore Jn. - Jabalpur Jn. Weekly Superfast Festival Special  will leave from Coimbatore Jn. at 15:25 hrs every Monday from 13th June to 01st August 2022. Train will reach Jabalpur Jn. at 08:45 hrs on the third day.

Train will halt at  Narsinghpur, Gadarwara, Pipariya, Itarsi Jn., Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval Jn. , Nasik Road, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim, Madgaon Jn., Karwar, Kumta, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, Mangalore Jn., Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur Jn. and Palghat stations.

Composition : Total 24 Coaches =  First AC - 01 Coach, Two Tier AC - 02 Coaches, 3 Tier AC - 06 Coaches, Sleeper - 11 Coaches, Second Seating - 02 Coaches, SLR - 02.

All norms of State & Central Government regarding COVID-19 including social distancing, sanitization etc should be followed in trains and at the Railway stations.

the upcoming monsoon season. This has been done to ensure that loss to Railway property, life and train services can be avoided. Special attention has been paid to Ghat sections in Hubballi (Castle Rock to Kulem) and Mysuru (Sakleshpur to Subrahmanya Road) which witness heavy to very heavy rainfall every monsoon.

General Manager Shri Sanjeev Kishore reviewed all the works related to monsoon preparedness today. The monsoon preparation works include cleaning of drainage, side drains, catch water drains, bridge vent ways and drainage arrangements for Road Under Bridges (RUB’s), removal of loose boulders, cutting/trimming of trees and installation of porter cabins.



·All Joints have been attended properly, drainage of water from the track area particularly in yards has been ensured to avoid any stagnation of water. All types of drains have been made with proper slopes and clear outlets so that rains may not affect the operation of trains.

 

·Inspections of Railway Affecting Works and Railway Affecting Tanks have been done overall SWR.



·All the vulnerable locations/Bridges have been inspected by the section engineers concerned and precautionary measures have been put in place. Chief Bridge Engineer of SWR has reviewed the monsoon preparedness in all the 3 Divisions.

 

·The identified vulnerable bridges and locations are provided with name boards at their approaches and arrangements are also made for posting of watchmen. The approaches of girder bridges have also been properly attended.



·The South Western Railway officials conducted a survey for trees and cutting/trimming of vulnerable trees existing in the vicinity of the track, has been undertaken.



·Monsoon reserves such as Boulders, Sand and Empty cement bags have been stocked at identified locations.



·Stock of boulders, Stone dust/Gravel/Musk have kept ready in wagons and stabled near flood prone locations to arrest landslips, breaches, flooding etc (Tinaighat  - 15 wagons and Kulem - 15 wagons over Hubballi division; Sakleshpur – 25 wagons, Subrahmanya Road – 20 wagons over Mysuru Division).



·Excavators have been stationed at Londa, Castle Rock, Caranzol, Dudhsagar, Sonalium, Kulem, Sakleshpur & Subrahmanya Road for quick restoration and clearing of track if there is landslip etc.



·Accident Relief Train & Accident Relief Medical Van are kept ready at all times with prescribed scale of engineering materials. Road vehicles, motor trolleys are kept in good condition for swift transport of relief materials and men to the site, when needed to ensure quick restoration of train services in the event of disruption.



·The weather bulletins issued from the India Meteorological Department are being monitored and weather warnings are disseminated in a timely manner to Stations to alert Station Masters, Trackmen, and Engineering Electrical & Signal/Telecom maintenance staff.

Engineering Officials have inspected in detail and taken safety measures to prevent damage to train services, railway property and life. Instructions from Disaster Management plan conveyed to staff at all levels. Close coordination will be maintained with Meteorological Department regarding Monsoon/Weather Warning/Forecasts.

Divisional Railway Managers of Hubballi, Bengaluru and Mysuru Divisions attended the meeting through virtual means.

About 50K passengers travel in Vistadome coaches from 1.10.2021 to 23.5.2022
The Vista Dome coaches o­n Central Railway have received an overwhelming response from passengers. Whether it is the breath-taking views of the valleys, rivers and waterfalls along the Mumbai-Goa route or the spectacular views of the Western Ghats along the Mumbai-Pune route, these coaches with glass tops and wide window panes have proved to be a hit.

Madgaon- CSMT Janshatabdi Express is the foremost with an occupancy of more than 100% i.e.18693 passengers registering a revenue of Rs.3.70 crore. The CSMT-Pune-CSMT Deccan Queen has registered an occupancy of 99% in Up direction i.e from Pune to Mumbai with revenue of Rs. 1.63 Core and the Deccan Express with 100% occupancy i.e. 16453 passengers and a revenue of Rs.1.11 crores
The Vistadome coaches were first introduced in the Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express in 2018. The immense popularity of these coaches led to the introduction of these coaches in the Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express with effect from 26.6.2021. Due to the huge demand from the passengers, the second Vistadome coach o­n Mumbai -Pune Route was attached to Deccan Queen from 15.8.2021.
The unique Vistadome coaches, apart from having a glass roof top has a number of extra-ordinary features like wide window panes, LED lights, Rotatable Seats and Pushback Chairs, GPS based info system, Multiple Television Screens, Electrically Operated Automatic Sliding Compartment Doors, Wide side sliding doors for Divyangs, Toilets with ceramic tile flooring etc. Last but not the least, the viewing gallery.
Special Traffic Block for Electronic Interlocking at Titoli Yard
