Both CDG-NMDA and CDG-KLK gotta be doubled 'cause the traffic gonna increase on these tracks gradually. 1. CDG-NMDA/MRND: Once the Bhanuapali - Bilaspur - Beri section is ready, which should happen soon in the next 3 years 'cause land acquisition is done, trains gonna run from Delhi/Chandigarh/Ambala on this track. More trains gonna come once the NLDM - Talwara link is complete, but that seems unlikely. Also, the Una - Hamirpur track is progressing quickly, so trains from DLI/UMB/CDG might start in 5 years. 2. CDG-KLK: The CDG - Baddi link gonna branch off from this track around 13 km after CDG, maybe 3 km after Chandi Mandir station. Land acquisition is still in progress, and this project got special status, so it won't be under the state. Geo tech survey already underway. Once tenders are awarded, this track might be ready in 2 years since there ain't any major bridges or tunnels. When it's ready, there gonna be trains from Delhi/Ambala.

CDG-KLK: CDG-Baddi link is track se 13 km baad branch niklegi, shayad 3 km baad Chandi Mandir station ke baad. Land acquisition process chal raha hai aur is project ko special status mila hai, isliye land acquisition state ke under nahi hoga ab. Geo tech survey pahle se hi progress mein hai. Jab tenders diye jayenge, ye track 2 saal mein ready ho jayega kyunki is track mein koi major bridge ya tunnel nahi hai. Jab ye taiyar hoga, Delhi/Ambala se trains chalengi is track par.

Six hours, dude! I thought this Amar Ujala thing was just Amar Ujala exaggerating, but damn, this might actually be true. Check this out: if they cut it down by six hours, it would take only ten hours to cover the distance at an average speed of 140. And if they cut it down by five hours, it would be a smooth ride at 128, which I can totally imagine happening with the previous stops of 09004, even with the "slow" part after Virar.

If it takes eleven hours, it would still be faster than any other train doing a similar distance (although I can't even imagine what chaos it'll cause with the other trains' schedules). Man, this is gonna be so damn exciting!

Chhah ghante! Maine socha yeh toh Amar Ujala ki tarah hi hai, lekin shayad yeh itna bhi lamba na ho. Soch: chhe ghante kam hone par, yeh dus ghante mein 140 ki average speed par complete ho jayega. Panch ghante kam hone par, yeh aaram se 128 ki speed par hona chahiye, jise main purane 09004 ke rukne ke saath dekh sakta hoon, "slow" section post Virar ke baad bhi.

Gyarah ghante mein, yeh ab bhi is route ki kisi bhi train se tez rahegi (haan, dusri trains ke time table par kya asar hoga, uska sochkar dil dhadkta hai). Yeh toh exciting hoga!

yeah... if they manage to cut down the travel time by six hours with the current speed, it's just wishful thinking! I heard they conducted a test at a speed of 160 kmph only on the Delhi-MTJ section... and the train will run at its usual top speed of 130 kmph between MTJ and Virar...! As for having the whole Delhi-Mumbai stretch at a full 160 kmph, that's news to me... if that actually happens, we'll definitely see more trains reaching that speed on this route and maybe even a Train 18 replacing the ADI Shatabdi next year! :)

Haan ... maan ke chalo ki iss samay ka MPS ke sath chhah ghante ki kami thoda hypothetical hai! Mujhe lagta hai ki unhone sirf Delhi-MTJ section par 160 kmph ka test kiya hai .. aur train MTJ-Virar ke beech aam taur par 130 kmph ki tez raftar se chalegi ...!
Delhi - Mumbai route par poora 160 kmph ka MPS mujhe naya hai .. yadi yeh hoga .. toh hum zaroor dekhenge ki is route par aur zyada trains 160 kmph tak chhootenge aur agli saal ADI Shatabdi ki jagah koi Train 18 hoga! :)
