Anish_Dasgupta~ 205 blog postsIf you are planning for a sudden trip to Malda from Kolkata and you find that all trains have WL in the route then go for the Tatkal these two trains - Radhikapur exp (except weekend) and Jogbani exp. The demand of Tatkal is a bit less in these trains when compared to other trains of the route. If you are planning some 8-10 days prior to your journey, then you can easily get a RAC ticket also in Jogbani exp which will later get confirmed. Prefer Jogbani exp over Radhikapur exp because of better arrival time at Malda.

can u please provide us the electrification update ???? as from 25/02/2018 PKR-MLDT is going to be electrified
Impossible from 25/02/2018. Railway is playing joke with General public no pole had been erected entirely at New Farakka Junction, Farakka Barrage and Malda Town Railway station.
Hole are being dug out from 08/02/2018 at New Farakka North end cabin and Malda Town station

Actually they give energisation notification early to create general awernance within the public.
Katihar Malda Court Energisation notification was released on December 2016 with no Catenery installed at Malda Court Station but the section became electrified on December 2017.
Here the synerio is different as No pole has been erected and SSP at Kaltipur is not ready at all only boundary has been made.

A new Refreshment room has been set up on PF 1 towards kolkata side.Near the RPF post.
Food taste good and rates are reasonable.Do try out the 'RAILWAY MUTTON CURRY' it's aroma can be felt on the platform also.It will surely pull you to eat.
