Was going through the old TT of 1943 EIR and found out a section "Air Raid Precaution". It was due to the then ongoing World War 2. It says
1. If waiting at a station for a train you will be told what to do and where to go for your greatest safety. Do it.
2. If you are in a train the train will be stopped at the next station and you will be told what to do.
3....
more... You will be given the option of alighting to take shelter or of proceeding by a late train. Your original train will then proceed.
4. If you choose to alight, you will be told where to go for shelter.
5. If you remain in the train, open all glasses, close all other window shutters, see that no light is visible and keep below window level.
6. In any case don't expose yourself to see what is happening around you or in the air. Stay under cover.
