Some new train proposals/possibilities in SER is going around. Lets see if anything happens. Can't say because zone is SER which is highly neglected by RB in giving new trains.

SER i don't think give long distance train likd KGP-LTT from KGP unless political pressure comes just like Mamta Banerjee gave KGP-VM Exp.

okay, hmm, so even if its not from kharagpur itself, my train is fine na, if it has any chance of introduction, regardless of timings.
Bengal pushes everything for Kolkata area.. They doesn't want to develop other cities. All other states does...
Example: AIIMS in Kolkata Area, IIM in Kolkata, Now IIT Kharagpur Kolata Campus in New Town. Capital city, Metro Rail, Rail Zones all Kolkata only.
Other states: Capital: Ranchi, IIM Ranchi, IIT Dhanbad, AIIMS Deoghar.

This centralisation of everything at Kolkata mainly started during the present govt. AIIMS was supposed to come up at Raiganj in Uttar Dinajpur district where medical facilities are really very poor. But for some unknown reason, present CM forcefully shifted AIIMS to Kalyani although Kolkata already had a lot of good and affordable health facilities. This present government hardly allocates fund in cities other than Kolkata. U will find plethora of flyovers coming up in various parts of Kolkata but not a single flyover has been constructed by this state govt in other big cities like Durgapur, Asansol, Siliguri etc in their tenure
