The driver, upon noticing the fault, applied emergency brakes, causing a jolt and loud noises in the coaches. Passengers were momentarily frightened but relieved upon realizing the train had stopped safely. The broken wire, spanning around a kilometer, damaged 12 poles. The train was towed to Kodarma at 10 AM by a diesel engine. Train operations resumed on the main down line at 2 PM after the traction wire was repaired. Several trains, including the Asansol MEMU, 12988 Ajmer Sialda, 12365 Janshatabdi Express, and 18428 Anand Vihar Express, were delayed due to the incident. The DRM, along with the RPF, the Traction Department, and other officials, oversaw the repairs and restoration of train operations.
