Medical shop now available just outside PF2 near FOB. This FOB is towards Kalyan side. Also, just beside the shop, a board is written that few types of blood test will be done at discounted prices. I did not take photo of the same though.
Generaly if there is Megablock on Mulund - Matunga - Mulund Fast Line in Mumbai, A Special Fast Local Departs Dadar Pf 5 at 3.40 towards Kalyan with Halts at Thane(4.06) & Diva(4.13) and then runs on slow line upto Kalyan. This special Fast EMU runs for passengers of Dadar - Ratnagiri Passenger when it is cancelled between Diva and Dadar.
This is just observation, please confirm at railway station once before travel.

I have heard announcement of this train once at Thane station on one Sunday when I was waiting for slow train at pf2

Sirsi town is approx 60 Kms from Kumta railway station. From Sirsi, there is a village called Sonda approx 17 kms away on the banks of river Shamala. There are huge rocks in the riverbed on which Shivalingas are carved. The place is called as Sahsralinga. Few other places to visit are Marikamba temple and Aghanashini Valley.

Hi, not aware if there is any direct bus from Kumta. Best is to hire vehichle and visit the place
