Isnt RAC one of biggest scam of looting passengers.
While almost all of us at sometime or the other might have faced the issue, hardly anyone in Railways or politicians have ever questioned it probably due to presence of HO/MP quota that allows them to travel conveniently but hardly anyone seems to question it.
A suggestion to either abolish it or introduce side middle berth in all trains that should be kept wrapped up and taken out at times of RAC. Till then we passengers wud keep on paying fares and sit all...

The bigger scam is charging cancellation charges for a WL ticket.

For RAC passengers, at the least they should provide automated seat allocation based on vacancy during the journey rather than leaving it to TTE. Otherwise you are charged for that also.
Also staff should be sensitized to provide bedrolls and pillows to both the passengers.
