Afternoon observations at Pune Railway Station on Sunday, 01-Mar-2009 from 13:30 to 13:40 hrs!
1) Red/white ACC cement rake hauled by twin Gooty Shaktis moved from Shivajinagar direction towards GIT Yard (Ghorpuri). Leading loco was GY WDG3A Shakti and trailing loco was GY WDG3A # 13377 Shakti.

in the pit line near PF6. This may soon haul 1321 Pune-Nizamabad Passenger.
3) Lonavala-Pune EMU had come on PF6. Same rake departs as Pune-Lonavala local at 15:00 hrs (with no EMU service between 13:00 and 15:00 hrs)!
4) BL WCAM1 # 21808 was seen outside electric trip shed.
5) Twin Moula-Ali locos (MU'ed) moved towards GIT Yard / Diesel Loco Shed area. The leading loco (towards Daund direction) was KZJ liveried orange MLY WDM2A # 17508 and trailing loco was KJM liveried blue MLY WDM2 # 17782!
6) Pit line between PF2/3 had blue GTL WDM2B # 16703 taking rest!
Yesterday, Saturday, 28-Feb-2009, Month-End Day, orange PUNE WDG3A # 14811 was seen at around 12:30 hrs (afternoon). It was mostly waiting to go back towards GIT area. Also, pit line near PF6 had Deccan Odessy loco PUNE WDM3A # 18719R. This DO 18719R was garlanded and may be, it was decorated for the send-off ceremony of some LP/ALP who may be retiring on Feb'09 end and may have last duty of hauling 1321 PUNE-NZB Passenger (with 18719R engine)!

Lonavala-Pune EMU came on PF6 and left back as Pune-Lonavala EMU sharp at 18:10 hrs.
4) 0114 Solapur-Pune Holiday Special came on PF1 with orange KZJ WDG3A # 14943. Later, this Kazipet 14943 was stabled/put in pit line near PF6. And same rake of 0114 SUR-PUNE Spl got ready on PF1 as 1022 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Exp with KYN WCAM3 # 21896.
5) 1041 Mumbai-Chennai Exp came on PF3 behind ACD fitted ED WDM3D # 11149 and then departed with same loco.
6) 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Exp was reported to depart late by 5 hr 15 min (scheduled departure 18:25 hrs and
today's departure 23:40 hrs).
7) 1617 Karjat-Pune Shuttle came on PF5 with KYN WCG2 # 20134 and then the same rake got ready as 1547 Pune-Baramati Passenger with orange PUNE WDG3A # 14678.
8) At 18:20 hrs, electric trip shed had BL WCAM1 # 21805 # 21807 # 21808 and KYN WCAM3 # 21889 # 21890 # 21897
and KYN WCG2 # 20134 locos.
9) Light running UBL WDG4 # 12139 came from GIT Ghorpadi Yard and then moved towards outer yard on the
Shivajinagar side of Pune station. This WDG4 was in SHF (short hood forward) mode towards Mumbai direction.
10) A goods train hauled by UBL WDG4 # 12089 came from Shivajinagar side and moved towards GIT yard. This WDG4
was in SHF mode towards Daund/Miraj direction.

Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36115 was busy with shunting work.
4) At siding line near Mumbai end of PF1, two SWR Shatabdi coaches and yellow/red colored "Mobile Bridge Inspection Unit" along with yellow/red crane (DMU type front looking crane) were seen.
5) Daund-Pune Passenger had come on PF5 with orange PUNE WDG3A # 14810. The same loco reversed and the same rake will later run as 1625 Pune-Baramati Shuttle.
6) 1609 Pune-Kolhapur Passenger was ready on PF2 with blue PUNE WDM3A # 18688R. The train had one GEN UR Unreserved Coach from North East Frontier Railways, marked as # NF # 09448.
7) 7032 Hyderabad-Mumbai Exp came on PF3 with orange KZJ WDM3A # 18973R power.
8) 2730 Nanded-Pune Biweekly SF Exp came on PF6 with blue PUNE WDM3A # 17897R.
9) 1021 Mumbai-Pune Indrayani Exp came on PF1 with orange KYN WDG3A # 13551 Shakti.

4) UBL WDG4 # 12079 was ready with a goods train on outer yard. The train was heading towards Daund or Miraj, with WDG4 in LHF (Long Hood Forward) mode towards Daund or Miraj direction.
5) 2157 Pune-Solapur Hutatma Exp departed from PF5 with orange KZJ WDM3A # 18915R.
6) 1041 Mumbai-Chennai Exp came on PF4 with blue PUNE WDM3A # 16013R.

Quick Observations at Ghorpuri Yard (GIT) near Pune on Saturday, 01-Mar-2008 from 10:20 to 10:30 hrs
1) Late running 2150 Patna-Pune Exp arrived from Daund side behind orange PUNE WDG3A # 14677.
2) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18496 was doing some shunting work whereas yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36041 was taking rest.

Another blue PUNE WDM2 (most 16042, not sure) was roaming deep inside GIT yard.
4) A goods train was waiting in the yard with twin WDG3A Gooty locos. Leading loco (towards Mumbai end) was orange GY WDG3A # 14700 and trailing loco was orange GY WDG3A Shakti loco (hidden behind few goods wagons).
5) Sharp at 10:30 hrs, 1014 Coimbatore-Kurla Exp arrived with KJM WDM3A # 14083. The train had 3 AC3T coaches, 1 AC2T coach as well as pantry car, besides regular Sleeper coaches and GEN UR unreserved coaches.

1) Nagercoil-Mumbai Exp arrived behind ED WDM2 # 18698 and left for Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20159 Loco.
