MEGA-SKIP: 22672 Madurai-Chennai Egmore Tejas Exp. skips Villupuram (March 21, 2022): This was the most anticipated skip of the journey. Fortunately, the train went through the station, albeit at a snail's pace. In the process, it got precedence over the 11018 Karaikal-Mumbai LTT Exp.

MEGA-SKIPS: 22221 Mumbai CSMT-NZM Rajdhani Exp. skips Igatpuri and Bhusaval (March 25, 2022): The 22221 CR Rajdhani Express is the only train to totally skip both Igatpuri and Bhusaval. On my journey, not only was I rewarded with these two skips but I also got to savor two overtakes in the process - those of Sewagram and Kamayani Expresses.

Parallel Overtake of Panvel-Gorakhpur Exp. by 22221 Mumbai CSMT-NZM Rajdhani Exp. (March 25, 2022): This was a pleasant surprise and an event that I enjoyed. Near Kopar, we caught with the 15066 Panvel-Gorakhpur Express and parallelly overtook it in a real hurry. The first of many overtakes on this journey!

Parallel Overtake of a Freight Train on DFC by New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Exp. (March 25, 2022): Just when I was about to conclude that operations on the Eastern DFC were yet to begin, we crept up on a WAG9-hauled freight train near New Makkhanpur station and overtook it in a hurry. I was rather surprised by the design of the DFC OHE masts. They look exactly like the ones I have seen in the Boston-Providence section (USA) and somewhat different from the normal AC OHE masts on IR.

Memorable Skips of the New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Exp. in the NDLS-CNB section (March 27, 2022): My journey on this cracker of a train started off in style! New Delhi to Kanpur Central was a true non-stop run taking just 4 hours 6 minutes. Along the way, I was able to enjoy the train skipping all kinds of stations. Five of those are presented here - Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Firozabad, Etawah.
