suvrath219 54 blog postsTravelled in the 2AC of this train. Coaches are old but well furbished. Only 1 socket was available per cabin of 6 people. This train runs with current availability in the month of November and December, not sure about other months. This train has pantry coach and as per the co-passengers travelling towards Gujarat, the food is of decent quality. And Chicken Chilli too was available on demand as per the pantry staff. In the morning, the breakfast was available, the upma was a bit too sweet. The cutlet was okayish but a bit too salty.

Travelled on July and August 2021 from SWV to DR.
Both the times, it was comfortable trip and I coincidentally got same coach (B3 if I remember correctly). Even though it takes longer time from SWV to DR during monsoon (about 13 hours) I didn't feel any discomfort because the coach was well cleaned and perfumes were all over the coach. With rain, the experience amplified, plus this train stops at a lot of stations, so you can always explore the stations a bit and enjoy the smell of mud during the...

Travelled from Udupi to Mumbai LTT. Punctuality is decent, was only 5 minutes late at LTT. But it reaches LTT way too early 3:45 am, so it's hard to get a good sleep. Due to this early reaching time, this train usually has a lot of empty seats during non-peak period when at the same time, you will find waiting list in Matsyagandha and Mumbai Express. Though, as it's daylight till Madgaon Junction, you can enjoy the scenic routes of coastal Karnataka including the mighty Sharavati River.

suvrath219 54 blog postsAmazing train for trip between Mumbai and Udupi/Mangalore. Very few halts. The train got delayed in Karwar by almost 1.5 hrs. It covered Karwar and Udupi within 2 hours and we reached Udupi with only 30 minutes delay. I slept in Upper berth and didn't feel a single jerk, slept through the journey like a baby. It feels congested but for sleeping purposes, this is great train.

suvrath219 54 blog postsTravelled in 2AC end to end NZM to CSMT. Welcome drink and snacks (Bhujiya, Chana, a small Samosa, Tea, frooti type juice, soan papdi) was provided shortly after the departure. No bedding post covid obviously. 130 MPS started after TKD. Was never at time at each and every station in the trip. The delays began from AGC (15 min) till CSMT (32 min delayed). Though 130 mps was still maintained between various sections (VGLB - BPL , AGC - GWL). Was bit slow in GWL-VGLB route.
