Passenger inconvenience at railway station

Bhandara: Around 36 Super Fast and Express trains are not stopping at the important Bhandara Road railway station on the Mumbai-Howrah route, causing inconvenience to passengers. Bhandara district has a population of 15 lakhs and two railway stations of the district are Bhandara Road and Tumsar. Passengers from Bhandara, Mohadi, Lakhni, Sakoli, Lakhandur, Tumsar, Pavani have to start their journey from Nagpur or Gondia. If there is a two minute stop, the railway passengers in the district can be facilitated. But no one takes initiative for this. Local people's representatives have not paid attention to this yet. Now the railway ministry is demanding to use its weight to get stops at Bhandara road station. And the passengers are suffering because the express is not stopping.

रेल्वे स्थानकावर प्रवाशांची गैरसोय

भंडारा : मुंबई-हावडा मार्गावरील महत्त्वपूर्ण भंडारा रोड रेल्वे स्थानकावर सुमारे ३६ सुपर फास्ट आणि एक्स्प्रेस रेल्वे गाड्यांना थांबा नसल्याने प्रवाशांची गैरसोय होत आहे. सणासुदीच्या दिवसांत तर मोठा मनस्ताप सहन करावा लागतो. प्रवाशांना नागपूर किंवा गोंदियातून रेल्वे पकडावी लागते. दोन मिनिटांच्या थांब्यासाठी गत अनेक वर्षांपासूनची मागणी असून अद्यापही लोकप्रतिनिधींचे याकडे दुर्लक्ष होत आहे. गाडी महाराष्ट्रात दाखल होताच गोंदिया, इतवारी, नागपूर, येथे थांबा दिला जातो. मात्र, सुपर फास्ट गाड्यांना थांबा नसल्याने मोठा मनस्ताप होतो. आर्थिक भुर्दंडही बसतो. भंडारा जिल्ह्याची लोकसंख्या १५ लाख असून जिल्ह्याच्या भंडारा रोड आणि तुमसर हे दोन रेल्वेस्थानक आहेत. भंडारा, मोहाडी, लाखनी, साकोली, लाखांदूर, तुमसर, पवनी येथील प्रवाशांना नागपूर किंवा गोंदिया इथून प्रवास सुरू करावा लागतो. दोन मिनिटाचा थांबा मिळाल्यास जिल्ह्यातील रेल्वे प्रवाशांची सोय होऊ शकते. मात्र यासाठी कुणी पुढाकार घेत नाही. स्थानिक लोकप्रतिनिधींनी अद्यापपर्यंत याकडे लक्ष दिले नाही. आता रेल्वे मंत्रालयात आपले वजन वापरून भंडारा रोड स्थानकावर थांबे मिळवून देण्याची मागणी होत आहे. व एक्स्प्रेस थांबत नसल्याने प्रवासी त्रस्त आहेत.
