Fully Agreed! Lot of trains are getting halted at non deserving stations like JMT all for political benefits. If it can stop at JMT why not at RNG or VDS or UDL. Infact RNG/UDL will give much better patronage than JMT.
Hv you seen the bookings hardly 1-2 deboardings and boardings! Deliberate stopping of a long distance trains doesn't make any sense. Why the train should halt at JMT and not at RNG or UDL, I bet you don't have answers for it.

Bro, Don't get me wrong! I am not against Jamtara or any other place. But you have to look up at numbers. search irctc-online charts that shows true boardings and de-boardings at a particular station. Just check it for 12303,13185,22643 at JMT. You would hardly see 1-2 bookings from JMT.
Yes it'll matter once stoppages are increased railways will eventually increase the timings eg:18184 aka Super Exp, 13007 Toofan Exp. Stops prevent a train's capability to make up any delay. I am against halts of 12333,15047 at PAN as well. Now...

12369 Howrah- Dehradun Kumbha express JCO 13.03.2024 will arrive at Chittaranjan station at 15:57 hrs, while in the return direction the 12370 Dehradun- Howrah Kumbha express JCO 12.03.2024 will arrive there at 23:25 hrs for two minutes stoppage in both directions.
12369 Howrah- Dehradun Kumbha express JCO 13.03.2024 will arrive at Chittaranjan station at 15:57 hrs, while in the return direction the 12370 Dehradun- Howrah Kumbha express JCO 12.03.2024 will arrive there at 23:25 hrs for two minutes stoppage in both directions.

Strange times once upon a time 13185 used to skip MDP. Today it halts at JMT as well. CRJ still needs many trains like VB, JSME SMVT, Anga exp. Lots of people go for flights from KNI Airport just because of lack of connectivity to Bangalore. Along with BWN also should get halts like PNBE JS and VB.

Yes maybe the reason could be lots of trains are already there to cater HW pax like 13009/10.
