SagarJambagaru~ 375 blog postsHere is a querry. What happens when a confirmed ticket booked under Senior Citizen (SS) quota is cancelled. Whether it will add upto available seats under SS quota or will be allotted to someone else when the chart is prepared. Suppose, for a particular journey all the berth under SS quopta is full, and if a passenger who had booked under SS quota cancels the tickets, whether it will show as 1 available?
When a confirmed SS quota ticket is cancelled, the availability will not show 1, instead it will be allocated to SS eligible passenger when the chart is prepared.

Sir, You should have told me earlier.. I had a confirmed ticket (a friend of mine was travelling with me and he cancelled his travel plans this morning) in 16527 till CLT for tonight's travel.

They could have simply stopped the electricity supply of the section to stop the engine. Not sure why did they travel by road to stop it. something fishy!

Thanks, How will it be dangerous if a loco passes from a powered section to a section that has been shutdown? The loco would just stop isn't?
