The zonal jurisdictions of some of the zones should be redrawn. Going by the IRI Atlas, SCR is cutting through CR zone, and it looks like a waste of resource of both in terms of logistics and Man power.
Similarly NER is encapsulating NR from all sides in Central UP area, and with NR already having a huge area to serve, those areas could be added to NER. Thus they can eliminate duplication of posts in Lucknow Area.

Special trains always has the risk of getting cancelled, and not getting priorities in many stations, as compared to regular WTT trains.

I am not favoring or against any train to be regularized. I am just saying if they have idea to run this throughout with periodic circulars on extension, then they can regularize it. Atleast for regular trains, people can count on while planning, which we cannot in specials

True. Three premium trains run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad - VB, Shatabdi and Tejas. All the three has a stop at Borivali. Even the super premium Tejas Rajdhani has a stop at Borivali.
Stop at suburb will always reduce the pressure on the Main stations.

True... There is no political will from local politicians too. For name sake one letter is shot once a year demanding a stop. Remember how they got Salem Division carved out from Palakkad. They literally blocked the tracks days together.
