I could have done that if I had time, and support. In Mangalore Central, the RPF and GRP police stations is at a distance of at least 200 to 300 meters on an elevation, and in dark. Also the Auto Rickshaw drivers were aggressive.
I thanked myself for having the courage to say No to them, and took the other passenger, walked up outside the railway station, and took another rickshaw.

The Railways could have done a better job here. They could have started the work on one platform a little late, and finished late.
I heard that this change was to integrate 1,2 and 3 with the newly constructed 4 and 5.

Like, we're talking at least 200 to 300 meters uphill, in the freaking dark. And to top it off, those Auto Rickshaw drivers were all up in my face, all aggressive and shit.
But you know what? I was proud of myself for standing my ground and saying "No" to them. I ditched their sorry asses, walked my way out of that railway station, and hailed another Rickshaw.
Honestly, the Railways really dropped the ball on this one. They could've planned it better, man. They could've delayed the work on one platform, so it wouldn't be such a hassle for everyone.
I heard they're making some changes, trying to integrate platforms 1, 2, and 3 with the newly built 4 and 5. Well, let's see how that goes.
