Hassan is located at a strategic point, connecting the 3 giants of MAQ,SBC,MYS each other and also with Central KA. But when i visited through roads years ago and through rail months ago, i found the city is not on its pace towards infrastructural development. Hope Hassan will be taken care much more.

It depends upon how we justify the present scenario. And definitely bus operators' lobby will interfere.

KL is a big state? By terms of stops ? Yes it is :P And i never wanted to say this here in this forum, but now i really need to quote. Why does KL needs trains to SBC and MAS ? When all states hang for trains to their state capitals (like CAPE/TN/SCT/CBE/NGT to MAS, UBL/MAQ/Karwar/BAY/GR to SBC) why does KL need more trains to other state capitals and that too at the cost of other states' cities and towns.

Always remember CBE is next to MAS,SBC,HYB by terms of population in South India. It is the second highest revenue earner in SR. It's the gateway to KL and Nilgiris. It has the largest Malayali population in the state(commuting, settled, ancestral) so any decision that is being taken against CBE will affect not only TN but also KL.

FYI this will benefit Keralites more who need to travel to TVC from CBE. CBE people never prefer low quota KL trains for commuting to Chennai:) And never ask Cheran, its meant purely for CBE and Western TN as Amrita is purely meant for PGT.

That's the specified route my dear. I mean PTJ_CBE_IGU, as IGU_CBE doubling was happening they were TEMPORARILY rerouted through IGU_PTJ line. Now the old route has been restored. KL bound trains have many other time constraints too, if you are much bothered about reaching Chennai sooner, then request for no stops after PGT till you reach MAS. IR may even approve it.

How you can assume so? And i don't know what's the problem here. The trains are indeed bought back to their original route. Skipping the 4th largest agglomeration in South is a discouraging trend. Come and ask each one of our Malayali residents at CBE and share their pleasure on this move, as they have got few more trains to their home towns.

You very well know what's the reason behind it. Think from your heart. 1.It benefits only one district of TN and that too, where the Malayali population is more. 2.It belongs to TVC division and as KCVL and TVC are unable to accommodate these much trains they are merely shifted.

Sajinetta associations can claim trains from Cherthala to JAT and from Kallakkudi Palanganatham to Kolkatta Howrah. Anyway we do want you people to have a safe and speed journey to places beyond CBE but its worth to remember that these trains have restored to their old routes after some 10 or 12 years(I'm not sure). Let us hope for development of PTJ like YPR/ERN in the mere future and we ourselves will request all trains bound to KL to operate VIA PTJ and i would like to quit from this thread as i don't want to say anything beyond this and fight with my closest neighbours.
