So, in this two DFC we can see WAG-9 which is a good news. This class with it's two variant 9H & 9i has been produced in BULK now in CLW and it's Dankuni Unit.
I think this type of evolution is required by boosting Passenger Service with WAP-7 & WAP-5 in IR.

WAG-7s don't seem to be so fit for 100+ Kmph runs since they look quite old-fashioned using some tap system technology. 3-Phasers are the future. Let's see if Mughalsarai ELS gets some P-5s, P-7s and G-9s in the years to come :-)

ABV got credit for Golden Corridor of Highways, and NaMo striving for same in IR. It would be a revolution for IR.

Same is for WAP-4. As per Data of E-Loco website of IR on Engine Kilometer Per day Per Electric Loco in Use in ALL ZONES of Indian Railway in last 5 years including the Current Year it is seen that Passenger Locos cover much more distance that Goods Locos(Except NR where the reverse is seen in every year).
But in spite of this we see WAP-4 & WAG-7 class has the highest Failure rate for which Punctuality of trains has been lost since January to July of this year.
WAP-4 is the

highest Failure among all classes then WAG-7.
Both these classes are still produced where year after year drainage of money is there for their repair still this havoc failure can't be made reverse, can't understand what's the necessity now by keeping illusion on these two "Expensive Class" where initial investment is less but aftermath maintenance and other work will surely make you CASH STRAPPED and also the necessity of WAG-5 & WAM-4 class.

ABV had the idea, but NaMo is implementing an ongoing project; that's the difference.
