SWR runs spl to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana, Maharashtra, Orissa, West Bengal but not inside Karnataka. And I don't know why Kannur Exp is their favorite train. Back in 2013, It's entire rake was replaced with all new 2013 made coaches. Now, it has got LHB. Recently they have added some extra coaches to that train. I want to know the reason why SWR pampers that train!!
I think there only one Dasara special for interior Karnataka connectivity 06581/2 and it is also full now. One more special needed on Ypr-Bay-Gdg-Sur section
