Indian Railways has given in-principle approval to Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd’s (MahaMetro) plan to run electric multiple units (EMU) between Nagpur and four nearby towns—...
* Mumbai like Local (EMU) trains between Nagpur to Bhandara (63km), Wardha (77km), Katol (60) and Ramtek (49km), There is no traffic to justify such trains.
* Mumbai like EMU trains are required for highly industrialized Pune city which has twice the population of Nagpur and is growing at twice the rate and has thrice the GDP of Nagpur.
* Development shall elude our country, as long as the money is wasted to fulfil personal/electoral wishes pf a few big shots rather than the actual requirements of state/nation.

The frequency of these trains will not match with Mumbai locals. May be only 2-4 trips a day to start with... There is a lot of traffic to wardha, ramtek, bhandara... So please do not confuse this with Mumbai system...
The IR will be outsourcing it's operations in this way...
