Restoration work was carried out on a war footing, with the Lal Kuan-Kathgodam section restored on July 8th at 4 PM, and the Lal Kuan-Kashipur section restored on July 9th at 6:30 AM. The Pilibhit-Tanakpur section was operational again on July 10th at 8:40 PM. The Bhojipura-Pilibhit section was also undergoing restoration due to a breach caused by the overflowing Devha river. Restoration efforts involved deploying engineers, laborers, and materials to repair the damaged sections.
