I am writing in favor of people of Rampurhat that the Maa Tara temple at Tarapith (9 Km from Rampurhat station ) is regarded as one of the 52 Sakti Peethams of India and Rampurhat railway station is one of six NSG3 category railway station in eastern railway and third busiest railway station in Howrah division after Howrah(HWH) and Barddhaman (BWN) due to huge number passengers are used this station the visit the temple. It is well known to all that 13319/13320 Deoghar Ranchi ( Baidyanathdham ) intercity express is extended to Deoghar to Dumka and Dumka city have already dedicated train services to Ranchi as 18619 / 18620 Dumka Ranchi intercity express. So, we are requesting you to extend the 13319/13320 train Dumka to temple town Rampurhat to provide better train services to the visitors of Maa Tara temple. Then this extended train can serve the major hindu...

pilgrims places- Baidyanath temple, Deoghar - Basukinath temple, Dumka along with Ma Tara temple at Rampurhat as Astha Circuit Train or dedicated pilgrims train and obviously this step increases the numbers of passengers of this train. Rampurhat station generated huge revenue for indian railways through dedicated express trains to the state capital Kolkata ( like Rampurhat express/ Rampurhat intercity/ Maa Tara express etc.) but not have any dedicated train services to the other parts of India like Kamakhya Sakti Peetham is connected (like Kamakhya anand vihar express, Kamakhya Ranchi express and so on ). And the same time, Ranchi and other major parts of Jharkhand state get a direct connectivity to Sahibjang loop, North Bengal like Siliguri / Malda and North Eastern India region like Guwahati / Silchar / Agartala through Rampurhat station. The Vananchal Express 13403 / 13404 is the only train running daily between Ranchi to Bhagalpur via Asansol through Sahibjang loop. So, it can be a better option for the railway to improve connectivity by just extending the 13319/13320 train Dumka to Rampurhat. Thank you, we will be happy if you take a look at our point of view.

Even through Rampurhat Railway Station (RPH) is one of the six NSG-3 category railway stations in Eastern Railway and third busiest railway station in Howrah division (After Howrah (HWH) and Barddhaman (BWN) railway station) due to huge number of passengers are used this station to visit the Tarapith temple (click here ), but there is no such direct dedicated express train to connect other parts of India except state capital Kolkata.
Rampurhat to Delhi Train:1 (Sealdah to Anand Vihar Terminal/ 35 hours)
Rampurhat to Kanpur Train:0
Rampurhat
...
To Allahabad Train:0
Rampurhat to Gaya train:1 (hwh to gaya express/Travel time: 11hours)
Rampurhat railway junction produces huge revenue for eastern railway every day but station is always neglected for new train.

I am writing a message from Rampurhat, Birbhum, West Bengal about the Tarapith Temple which is situated in a village Tarapur which is only 9 Km away from Rampurhat Railway station (RPH).The Tarapith is regarded as one of the 52 Shakti Peethams of India. It is said to be so called because the eye ball (tara) of Sati fell here. Others say that Tarapith is not a pith but the place owes its sanctity to the fact that the Sage Basistha here worshipped the Goddes Sati in the form of Tara. The Kamakhya Temple in western part of Guwahati city in Assam is also one of the oldest of the Shakti Peethams. The Kamakhya Temple is well connected to the other part of India through direct train (example – Kamakhya-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express, Kamakhya- Puri Express, Kamakhya –Ranchi Weekly Express, Kamakhya -Anand Vihar Weekly Express, Kamakhya –Mumbai LTT Karmabhoomi...

Express etc.). Even through Rampurhat Railway Station (RPH) is one of the six NSG-3 category railway stations in Eastern Railway and third busiest railway station in Howrah division (After Howrah (HWH) and Barddhaman (BWN) railway station) due to huge number passengers are used this station to visit the Tarapith temple, but there is no such direct express train to connect other parts of India except state capital Kolkata. So, I request to make availability to direct dedicated Express train from Rampurhat (RPH) to Kamakhya (KYQ), Puri (PURI), Patna (PNBE), Varanasi (BSB), Ranchi (RNC), Deoghar (DGHR), Gaya (GAYA) and its vice versa in keeping mind to better service to the visitors of the Tara Maa Temple. Thank you sir. I will happy if you take a look on my point of view.

Rampurhat (RPH) to New Delhi (NDLS) new delicated express train Via Allahabad (ALD) & Kanpur Central (CNB) is essential to connect national capital to Tarapith ( Rampurhat), Deoghar, Basukinath dham, Banka & Dumka for hindu pilgrimages in similar fashion Kamakhya station is connected. Till now Rampurhat, Deoghar & Dumka are not connected to Delhi along with Allahabad & Kanpur. It is not require from Kolkata ( Howrah, Sealdah, Chitpur ) station due to huge numbers of trains ranning between Kolkata and Delhi every day, from Rampurhat (RPH) station Via Dumka & Deoghar to connect a large area of Birbhum & Mursidabad district ( WB) & Jharkhand state to Delhi. Most of the districts in both state in this route are listed as backward. Railway connectivity will improve the economical conditions of people of this backward zone.
