The 05888 / 058887 Guwahati - New Haflong - Guwahati Tourist Special Train is a bi-weekly train containing a VISTADOME COACH (Vista - dome) and 4 AC Chair Cars. This train will allow the passengers to experience the beautiful Lumding - New Haflong - Badarpur hill section. Apart from that, Haflong is a very beautiful Hill Station. It is the headquarters of Dima Hasao district (formerly known as North Cachar Hills district) in Assam.

The Vistadome Coach is a specially designed coach for tourist to enjoy the scenic view of the surrounding around the railway tracks. It has large windows, overhead glass panes for top view and also 'the icing on the cake' is the wide corridor in one of its coach ends.
INTERIOR of similar VISTADOME COACH: click here

This train will leave Guwahati at 6:35 am on every Wednesday and Saturday and reach New Haflong on the same day at 11:55 am.

In the reverse direction, it will start from New Haflong at 5 pm and arrive Guwahati on the same day at 10:45 pm.

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has also started another similar Tourist Special Train with a VISTADOME COACH which will run between New Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar Jn, covering the beautiful Dooars Region of West Bengal.
