NER has announced that the 12581/2 BSBS NDLS SF train will now go all the way to Ballia starting from 30 January 2024. This means the train will start from Ballia instead of terminating there. Also, NER mentioned that from 01 June, there will be two different trains running with the same number. We'll have to wait for the update on IRCTC/NTES to clear up any confusion.

Railway Board ne 12581/2 Banaras New Delhi Superfast Express ki Ballia tak extend karne ka manjoori diya hai, aur isko Bi Weekly Service ke roop mein chalaya jaega. Iska naya number Ballia ke MP Shri Virendra Singh Mast Ji ne maanga tha.

Ballia se daudne ki maujooda tareekh hai 30 January 2024. Pura schedule aur naya number jaldi hi assign kiya jayega.

Rest in peace to the 12581/82 train, initially it was just for 2 days, but everyone knows it will eventually extend to 7 days for sure. If the Northeastern Railway intends to extend trains like this, then why expand Manduadih station and why are trains being shifted from Varanasi to Manduadih? Is it so they can extend to other cities? For now, the only relief is that the extension doesn't include a weekend ;) If they had to do something, they should have done it to Chandigarh or Kalka. Go and see it for the last time, because trains won't be originating from here anymore.

RIP to 12581/82, ye sirf 2 din initially hai, lekin sabko pata hai ki kuch saal mein ye 7 din tak BUI tak extend ho jayega.
Agar NER trains aise hi extend karne ka irada rakhti hai toh phir Manduadih(bsbs) ko kyun expand kar rahe hai, aur Varanasi se Manduadih mein trains kyun transfer ho rahi hai?
Kya ye isliye hai ki wo dusre shehro tak extend kar sake?

Agar karna hi tha toh Chandigarh ya Kalka ko karna chahiye tha.
