Speed up of this train may be on cards. Tweeted to speed this train up along with 13053/54 by Debashree Chaudhuri, MP of Raiganj. Her tweet can't be seen since she had blocked me, after I pointed out Kulik Express is one of the slowest train of ER. I can't give screenshot of her tweet.
My opinion, this may happen.
1. 13430 & 14004 arriving MLDT by 21.45 hrs. Speed up of 125 mins. 23.50 hrs arrival is very inconvenient to Malda residents

13154 departing MLDT at 22.15 hrs & arriving SDAH at 5.05 hrs. Speed up by 30 mins. This will make 13154 cover 350 kms in 6 hrs 50 mins @ 51 kph, a jump in running speed by +3 kph.
3. 13153 arriving MLDT at 05.15 hrs. Speed up by 40 mins. This will make 13154 cover 350 kms in 7 hrs 00 mins @ 50 kph, a jump in running speed by +4 kph.
4. 13053 Kulik Express may get 9.45 hrs departure slot at HWH, speeding the train by 50 mins. Since 9.45 am departure slot is free after 13007 cancellation. This will make Kulik Express cover 487 kms in 9.5 hrs @ 51 kph, a jump in running speed by +5 kph for 13053
5. 13054 Kulik express may arrive HWH at 15.15 hrs, speed up by 35 mins. This will make Kulik Express cover 487 kms in 9.5 hrs @ 51 kph, a jump in running speed by +3 kph for 13054
