I think there might be space restrictions in most of the stns due to the Ghats sections.... Maybe Ratnagiri might work out but I'm afraid other stops might work out...ЁЯдФЁЯСН

I guess only Ratnagiri is the stn that can have pitlines (how many coaches feasible I'm not at all sure)... other than that stn, nothing is possible I guess... Harshal, what's ur opinion in this???

I think post this election, the KRCL dept will look into this issue and they might address this to the RM and with that, he might get something done for the benefit of IR... let's wait and see...ЁЯСНЁЯСН

Having a Carshed at CPN is possible??? Space is there for having that facility???
Is there a possibility of merging of KRCL with IR?? Will that ever happen?? Cause what I've heard is KR is completely different zone with beautiful scenery and many other factors (sorry I'm unable to recollect) and with that, I am not sure if they'd accept merge and all.... pls correct if I'm wrong...ЁЯСНЁЯСНЁЯСН

Can there be any stn with the "terminus" term inscribed??? Like Chennai or Mumbai?? I really doubt that's possible... those stns can only be considered as Jns and not as terminuses unfortunately....ЁЯСН

Well that might take years for plan of action... even fighting with ministers, nothing will happen....
A little out-of-context, I wanted to have a direct train to my hometown PLNI from SBC but that's not possible and for that, I'd need to take either the MYS TN Express, de-board at DG Jn and then take the cab/bus and then head to PLNI... I had sent notice to RailMadad where there was option of giving suggestion for running a new train and I had submitted that... no response till date....

Taking Uttar Kannada politicians won't add much value.... need even stronger support so that slight chances of deciding the future of KAWR and it's surroundings might work...

Vistadome is a new concept and it might take sometime for the VB version to come.... I guess Vistadome shouldn't come with the VB concept cause that's limited to the scenery train journeys.... this is my opinion...ЁЯСНЁЯСН

Road connectivity is there in the form of highways since I recently drove down from Gokarna till MAJN city... was very good in terms of scenery.... but yes coming to ur point, there should be more... might come soon in reality...ЁЯСНЁЯСН

I feel that the Shtbs' having short distance travel, like the NDLS CDG (244kms), NDLS Kalka (269kms), NDLS Kathgodam (282kms) should be retained cause having a VB run for these small stretches would be a waste of rake... instead of VB, they can make use of VB Metro (although limit is 200km, but can still run depending on the MPS of those particular trains' sections).... Shtbs' having distance more than 350kms can be thought of either having Shtb or VB rake....

Slightly keeping the conflicts between RFans a little aside, I want to know in general, like OUT OF NOWHERE, where did they get this idea of launching a DD for Keralites???? I mean it's the wrong thing I'm doing to barge in RFan's conflicts, but I want to understand this.... DD which was last launched 6 years back (TPTY VSKP DD), what made them think of launching another one??? What benefit r they planning to get for the Keralites???

Just a slight objection for point 'c', that now SMVB is getting into useful terminal.... I've seen many pax and good transport connectivity from other parts of the city... so please correct that only stmt... other points no judgment for that....ЁЯСН

Metro connectivity is there, just less than 1km from Swami Vivekananda Road Metro station... even Metro-feeder buses r there for easier connectivity...ЁЯСНЁЯСН

Some of the trains can be made intercity cause their distance is less than 500kms.... like I had made couple of IMGs under my IMG list.... u can check them once (not all made, only handful of them)....and btw, useful list...ЁЯСН
