All this is done intentionally i think to make railway loss more and then sell to private. If u see in this past few years in many sectors flight passenger increased and train passenger decreased... as flexifare scheme has made train and flight fare almost same and in some cases train 1A, 2A fare is more than flights if u book flight tickets in advance but travel time in trains has increased thanks to so call eyewash Mission Raftar. In media and on paper trains running at 130kmph in many sections and planning for 160kmph but in reality the travel time end to end has either increased or is same as before.

more... and as a result passenger trains r either diverted or delayed or cancelled and passenger suffering. Passengers are forcefully bound to book flights or road transport in that case if in a hurry or is traveling in trains via diverted route with longer travel time.
Also, in sectors u don't require full AC trains railways r running them without field study and slow TT and making loss.
Now trains removed Senior citizens concessions but flights started/giving Senior citizens concession scheme So as a result in many sectors for senior citizens flight fares r lesser than trains. Why? Trains losing passengers and flights gaining passengers.
