The South Eastern Railway (SER) has received approval from the Railway Board for the construction of a fourth line from Howrah to Jharsuguda via Tatanagar and from Howrah to Bhadrak via Kharagpur. will help address traffic congestion. Construction of the third line from Salgajhari to Tatanagar will begin in July. The SER General Manager, Anil Kumar Mishra, also highlighted that yard re-modeling at Tatanagar will be shifted to the first financial year of 2025 to allow for simultaneous completion of the third line project. Work on the third line from Salgajhari (East) to Adityapur is already in its advanced stage and will be commissioned soon. Yard re-modeling at Adityapur will begin at the end of June, adding two extra platforms. Commissioning of work at Salgajhari West is expected to occur between September and October. Regarding safety measures, Mr. Mishra emphasized the need for power blocks for developmental projects in different zones. He acknowledged the delays in normal train operations due to the operation of various summer special trains. Mr. Mishra also mentioned that major works are typically carried out from April to June, and halted during monsoon and festivals. He assured that once the development works are complete, all trains will run on schedule. To avoid inconvenience to passengers, the railway is working on a system to pre-schedule development work 120 days in advance. This will inform passengers about cancellations of specific trains. A new scanner has been installed outside the parcel office of Tatanagar railway station, the responsibility of operating the scanner has been given to Devkanti Enterprises. Now, all parcels will be scanned before booking. Passengers will be charged Rs. 5 to Rs. 10 for scanning both leased and non-leased items, covering goods up to 120 kg and 1 x 1 meter dimensions.

Yeh new lines traffic congestion ko address karengi. Salgajhari se Tatanagar tak third line ka kaam July maah se shuru hoga. SER General Manager, Anil Kumar Mishra ne bataya ki Tatanagar mein yard re-modeling ka kaam 2025 ke pehle financial year tak shift kiya gaya hai, taki third line ke saath hi is kaam ko ek saath poora kiya ja sake. Salgajhari (East) se Adityapur tak third line ka kaam already advance stage mein hai aur jaldi hi commissioning ka kaam shuru hoga. Adityapur mein June maah ke ant se yard re-modeling ka kaam shuru hoga, jismein do extra platforms bhi banaye jayenge. Salgajhari West mein kaam September se October maah mein commission kiya jaayega. Mr. Mishra ne safety measures ke baare mein bataya ki different zones mein vikas karyaon ke liye power blocks use karna bahut jaruri hai. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki various summer special trains chalane ki wajah se normal train operations mein der ho rahi hai. Mr. Mishra ne bataya ki major works April se June maah mein kiye jaate hain aur monsoon aur festivals ke dauran band rahte hain. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki vikas karyaon ke poora hone ke baad, sabhi trains time pe chalengi. Tatanagar railway station ke parcel office ke bahar ek new scanner lagaaya gaya hai, jiske operate karne ki responsibility Devkanti Enterprises ko di gayi hai. Ab koi bhi parcel bina scan kiye book nahi kiya jaayega. Leased aur non-leased dono tarah ke items ke liye passengers ko Rs. 5 se Rs. 10 charge dena hoga, yeh scanning 120 kg aur 1 x 1 meter size ke items ke liye hai.
