How do locomotives go from BCT to CSMT and vice versa? Do they have to go all the way from CSMT-Diva-Vasai-BCT?

Thanks for the replies, but locos from one zone operating in another seem to be commonplace, I've seen for ex. KJM locos in NEFR and other places several times, ditto for other zones as well.

Actually my question should be reworded as 'is there a way for trains/locos to go from BCT to CST if necessary'? What is the shortest and most viable route?
Why did they scrap Chennai-Mumbai mail? It was a lovely train and we could enjoy the best of the Indian countryside.

FYI it has been scrapped and replaced with an express train covering the distance in 23:30 hrs instead of 28 hrs for the Mail.

Vande Bharat express again damaged. This time they say Dibrugarh Rajdhani in opposite direction ran over cattle and stones started flying. Trains usually come to a halt after running over cattle as the parts stick to the assembly. Again seems like something fishy, poor Vande Bharat is jinxed from beginning..maybe only passenger trains are better for India!!

Very distressing to note that stones were again thrown at India's fastest train. Why do such incidents happen in only some areas of the country, and why are the culprits not nabbed and severely punished?

I feel very sad for my country. What is the reason for all this? Overpopulation and poverty? Maybe we deserve those old brown iron coaches only? Maybe we should give harsh punishment like China for such miscreants?
