What I am trying to say here is that trains between KCG-YPR can also go via RC - GWD or KSN - DKC and not necessarily via GY-PDL-DHNE- GWD.
As already explained, GTL ( serving station for BAY) , Adoni, MALM and RC are also having equal importance as is KRNT.

more... trains are introduced to cover as many areas as possible rather than with single agenda of shortest route which is why you see NDL- KRNT DEMU & GNT - KCG via DHNE which is twice the distance of road transport / shortest route.
After diversion of KSK express via UBL ( although longer route) , it is still getting good occupancy. You can check IRCTC site for seat availability.
DHNE - MBNR should be made FEDL at the earliest. At the same time there are alternate routes coming up ( as explained earlier ) which are shortest routes too.
Also, can single lines be upgraded to 130 / 160 kmph speed or they should be first doubled ?
FYI, trial run has been successfully completed in Makthal - Maganur section. By next March it will reach KSN.
