Why is 18637 HTE-BNC Express having its last trip on 25th December 2021 (starting date from HTE) and 18638 BNC-HTE on 28th December 2021 (starting date from BNC)? IRCTC not allowing reservations/availability beyond these dates (screenshots attached). Permanent termination of services?

Should be made daily. There was another weekly train 18638 Bengaluru Cantt. - Hatia (BNC-HTE) whose route is the same between Jolarpettai and CKP with this train. That train's last JCO is 28th December. I wish either that is continued further and made permanent or this train (ERS-TATA) is made into a daily train with LHB rakes.

Visakhapatnam ↔️ Gorakhpur is desperately needed, as there is not a single train that runs on this route. And as you said, the demand is really huge.

Why has 22820/19 Visakhapatnam ↔️ Bhubaneswar SF InterCity Express not been LHBfied yet? It also does not have any AC Chair Car (CC) coach for some reason while the same is present in most other InterCity express trains. Here is an inexhaustive list of InterCity express trains that have LHB rakes:

Yes, even the rake is small. And the problem with other trains is that their 2S or even SL is very crowded since they don't originate from VSKP. And yes, even the timings of InterCity could have been more convenient. There is not even a Shatabdi or a Jan Shatabdi between VSKP and BBS actually while the other stretches of HWH MAS are served by Jan Shatabdi (MAS-BZA and BBS-HWH)
