New Aurangabad - Ahmednagar railway line is likely to get momentum now. As informed by MoS Finance Dr. Bhagwat Karad, instead of constructing entire Pune to Aurangabad line, IR observed that only Aurangabad to Ahmednagar line is more economical and beneficial. Daund to Manmad doubling is undergoing and bypass at Daund is operational now. If railway needs to construct new A'nagar Pune line, the cost of land acquisition will make project uneconomical besides, it will anyways not be possible to directly connect to Pune Jn. Additionally, IR is also eying on freight traffic which it will get on existing alignment. Thus, only Aurangabad to Ahmednagar new line will get push. ЁЯСНЁЯЩВ

its a good news for marathwada but Instead of this line ROTEGAON-KOPARGAON new line is very beneficial for marathwadas people it will connect SHIRDI+PUNE & its just 28km OR demand for ANKAI BYPASS line it will save 25km of manmad station round.

here parli parbhani electrification started on DEC 2020 still its showing diesel line.
from parli to parbhani foundation reached singnapur station which is 10 km dist from parbhani station
parli to singnapur foundation work completed still not updated.
