I once had to catch this train whilst I was riding in the crawler Upper India Express. My train was three hours and the slack time was lesser than that. There was real issue that I might miss my connecting train[this one]. But somehow, my train finally rode into BSB two hours late just in time for me to catch this LJN bound train. CPR - LJN used to arrive post midnight in the original timings then, I guess.

Baba adam ke zamane ke unmaintained tracks se aur kya umeed rahegi. IR only is interested in introducing more 'new' kinds of trains rather than doing the thankless of work of maintaining the existing infrastructure.
