Railways is not a charitable oranganisation to run on donations by travellers in the name of suvidha trains. IR specifies they recover only 57% of operational costs for operating an passengers train. So the max fare for suvidha trains should be 2-2.5times of normal fare for GS and SL to recover costs fully and 1.5 times for 3AC which are already making breakeven. This will fulfill both the travellers and railways in terms of occupancy and operational costs instead of running empty suvidha trains. One thing IR should realize is they are not in monopoly world and road, air and personal transportation are fast catching up due to improved infrastructure and IR is losing its trusted travellers to these sectors.

Railways is neither charitable nor private organisation...
and hence it cares a tuppence for its customers and its future... only worry is Salary of staff and Income from passengers ... and to do this they are going on and on and on upward raising fares ...

I agree with you on raising fares and run profitably to meet operational costs and i have not denied in my comment but how much is the question here such that travellers switch to other modes of transport and suvidha trains running with lesser occupancy. Even suvidha and SPL fare trains inspire of higher fares are given timings of that of ord exp and running late doesn't justify the travellers money and time.
