* Total bluff!!!
* Upgrading Delhi-Mumbai or Delhi-HWH route to 160kmph speed potential through out the stretch shall require about 10000 crores each and till date not even 100 crores have been spent
* IR which carry 90% of paxs on heavy subsidy does not have financial strength to carry out such kind of upgradation on large scale.

Well I have heard that they have already changed / upgraded the tracks to support such high speed.
RB has suggested tk by pass CRS for speed certification.
Fencing work is yet start no update on that..
No clue about re signaling work to support semi high speed !

* Fencing is a known issue.
* 160 kmph route should have 60kg rails with higher sleeper density.
* All the BG trunk lines are designed for maximum speed of 160kmph, but they have many hurdles like curves, weak bridges, track renewal etc. Even a single speed restriction over just 500m cause reduction in train speed for many kilometres on its either side. In order to make the track Semi High Speed in true sense, such curvatures have to be eased out, structure has to be strengthened which is a costly and time

taking process.
* Delhi-Agra track is supposed to have best track geometry for high speed operation. Had the track been real SHS track, Gatimaan would have taken 90 minutes instead of 100 minutes, because 160kmph is attained over a portion of stretch.
