వైకాపా నిర్లక్ష్యం ఖరీదు రూ.3కోట్లపైనే!

The construction of an ROB (Road Over Bridge) on the railway track in Nandivelugu Road, Guntur city, was completed by the railway department in 2021. However, the R&B department stopped construction at 46% due to lack of funds. The contractor abandoned the project citing inability to work at old rates due...

to negligence by the previous YCP government. The delay has resulted in increased cost of the project, putting a burden on both the government and the public. After the TDP coalition came to power in the state, Union Minister Dr. P. Chandrasekhar reviewed the Nandivelugu ROB project on 22nd of last month. He instructed the officials to give the contractor a two-week deadline to start the work. If the contractor fails to comply, he directed to prepare estimates and call tenders for the remaining work. As the contractor refused to work at the old rates, engineers are looking at alternatives. Estimating the remaining work at current rates would result in a 30% increase in cost, adding an extra burden of over INR 3 crores to the INR 10 crore project. The state government needs to make a decision on this. The railway department has repeatedly written to the R&B department urging them to close the gate once the bridge is completed.

Guntur city ke Nandivelugu Road pe railway track pe ROB (Road Over Bridge) ka construction railway department ne 2021 mein hi khatam kar diya tha.

Is wajah se project ka kharcha badh gaya hai, jisse government aur public dono ko nuksan ho raha hai. State mein TDP coalition ke aane ke baad, Union Minister Dr. P. Chandrasekhar ne pichle mahine ke 22 tarikh ko Nandivelugu ROB project ka jaayza liya. Unhone officers ko contractor ko do hafte ka time dekar kaam shuru karne ke liye kaha. Agar contractor kaam nahi karta hai, toh unhone bachi hui kaam ke liye estimate tayyar karne aur tender nikalne ka aadesh diya. Contractor ne purane rate pe kaam karne se mana kar diya, jiske wajah se engineers koi dusra option dhund rahe hain. Agar bachi hui kaam ko current rate pe kiya gaya toh isme 30% tak ka increase hoga, jisse 10 crore ke project me 3 crore se zyada ka extra bojh padega. Is baare me state government ko faisla lena hoga. Railway department ne R&B department ko bar bar letter likhe hain, ki bridge khatam hone ke baad gate band kar diya jaaye.
