They will now try to drain the water through a larger pipe and will also discuss the matter with railway officials. The railway is responsible for laying a sewer line under the railway tracks from Baba Colony to Rajiv Nagar using trenchless technology, but the work hasn’t started due to technical issues. The municipality has already transferred more than 3 crores to the railway department months ago and the Mayor plans to meet with the railway officials soon to ensure the work begins quickly. Some residents also brought up the need for paving the remaining unpaved streets. The Mayor responded that the area was recently legalized, and the tender process for paving has started. The tendering process has also begun for paving streets in Laxman Colony. All the streets will be paved with interlocking tiles soon.
