Ramakrishnan 15 blog postsFor People looking to travel from Pune/Mumabi to Bangalore, book ticket to Hosur (HSRA) and you may pay for the extension from to Bangalore (SBC) by approaching the TT before you reach Hosur(HSRA). This will cost you negligibly more but will provide PNRs in general quota which gets cleared easily
Not able to understand. If someone is booking till Hosur, where is the question of paying extension from SBC to Hosur by approaching TTE?
Well I think it means that PUNE to SBC is in PQ and may be PUNE to HSRA is in GN.....so probability of confirmation is more, if tickets are booked from PUNE to HSRA instead of PUNE - SBC.....
we railfans have spend a lot of time to learn these tips.. but making it public is not a good practise .(do u know railways never made such things public because they themselves know that some things are to kept secret) even the TTE does not know BP change.. his chart also do not have that information....one day we railfans will not get cnf tickets ...
He is not talking anything about the quotas or the probability of confirmation. He is asking why there is a need to go to tte for extension when you book a ticket till HSRA which comes after SBC.
Stop talking like that please. Railways are not only used by we railfans.
If you are travelling from ltt to bangalore and the waiting lists are high...then book till hosur as it falls under general waitlist so tickets get easily confirmed
now they moved the quota to Salem... So booking upto Hosur will not work now..
The Quota has been moved only for 11014, 11013 is still under General Quota for LTT HSRA and PQWL for LTT SBC.
it would be better to book till salem at least it will be cheaper than booking in CK & PT quota

nishikanth82 27 blog postsBe very sure to check the destination station of the train while boarding at SBC or BNC as the train gets late very late at times and reaches bangalore at the arrival time of the return train. On 9th Nov, 11014 departed from BNC at 22.20 and a person got into the train, thinking it was 11013.
Train will always reach 1hour late in bangalore..Cleaning top class.
Only vegetarian food is available in the pantry of this train. But quality of food is much much better and comparable with mid-range hotels. All the timings (starting from Dinner on Day 1) one will get food on this train. Never need to worry about packing food if you travel in this train.
You're right... However in fried rice packet they provide spoons, that is for sure. Further, in south india, people do not use spoons most of the times. Even in hotels, one need to ask for spoons, if one needs. Since I also do not prefer spoons, I did not notice this point.
