Full journey inside fastest train of India, none other than Gatimaan Express.

Executive Class ticket will cost ₹1500 (US$22) and travel by AC Chair Car, will cost ₹750 (US$11).The train leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin at 8:10 am and reach Agra at 9:50 am and departs from Agra at 5:50 pm and reach Nizammudin at 7:30 pm.The train has two Executive AC Chair Car and eight AC Chair Car coaches. The train is equipped with bio-toilets, fire alarms, GPS-based passenger information system and automatic sliding doors. The train will have train hostesses for service, similar to airlines and the passengers will get access to free Wi-Fi and multimedia content. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals will be available in North Indian and South Indian cuisines.
The train is hauled by a Wap-5 #30007 (Bond) locomotive from Ghaziabad shed. This locomotive is manufactured in Switzerland by Asea Brown Boveri Ltd (ABB). The train is very popular amongst tourists for visiting the wonderful Taj Mahal and return on the same day. Also the timings of this train make it flexible for businessmen. Before this, New Delhi Bhopal Shatabdi (later extended to Habibganj) was the fastest train in India with a top speed of 150 km/h. Now Gatimaan express steals the title of the 'Fastest Train' in India. It was a really a memorable and a fun ride for me and my parents. Do comment and let me know your opinion about this train. Now looking forward to see an increase in the speed of this train soon as well as launch of similar trains on other high speed corridors of Indian Railways. The multi million project of Bullet train in India has also been sanctioned and a Mou has been signed with Japan.
In a decade time, we look forward to see a 300 km/h bullet train in India too.

Well its not often when you get chance to capture this train in daylight, however I was lucky enough to capture this rajdhani.

water overflowing on the Tracks near Kalluru Railway Station on the Bangalore - Dharmavaram -Guntakal Section. All trains from Bangalore using that line had to be diverted until restoration work was completed. Bangalore Rajdhani was diverted via a circuitous Route from Bangalore City via Yesvantpur - Hebbal - Banaswadi - Bangarpet - Jolarpet- Katpadi - Renigunta - Kadapa - Guntakal -Wadi - Secunderabad. This is probably the first time Rajdhani Express has been diverted from Bangalore end via a entirely different route.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
