Indian Railways should try out a new Jan-Shatabdi train between HWH & PNBE, in the reverse order of the existing train!
An effort can be made to run it via Gaya! This would be a different experience and considering the route via GAYA being only 19 kms longer than the one via Jasidih, Jhajha, can be definitely tried out. Furthermore this would iron out several problems, most notably GAYA's connectivity woes with Kolkata! Barring a daily circuitous express via BGP, GAYA residents have to be fully dependent on long distance trains for coming towards Kolkata side! Similar problem is also faced by the residents of Koderma in Jharkhand! So it would to be to the best interests of the people of

this region, that a Jan-shatabdi is run from HWH to PNBE via the Grand Chord!
The only problem would be to get a Jan-shatabdi rake, which I am sure IR can manage if it wishes!
What do you all say ?

hwh-dhn-gaya can be covered by JS type train 6.5 hours. and then 2 (0.5 for LR) hours to PNBE 8.5 hours. While JS via JSME takes 8 hours. Also HWH-GAYA JS will be a better idea.

Also a Howrah-Bhagalpur/Jamalpur day time intercity from both sides is needed preferably via Sahibganj. There are no express trains in the daytime from Kolkata to Bhagalpur/ Jamalpur. All long distance passengers reaching howrah from South after 10 pm have to wait for almost 20 hrs. They don't have any other options than Hwh- Jaynagar or Hwh- rajgir passenger in day time which halt at every station and run with 2hrs delay throughout the year.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
