Development side it's better. Gulbarga is the fastest growing city in Karnataka after Bengaluru. Even in railways, Gulbarga is the only A1 station in Karnataka apart from Bengaluru even without any significant originating trains. We can see some good work happening in Bidar and Raichur as well. I don't know much about Bijapur, Bellary or Koppal. Having said that, IIT which was supposed to come to Raichur was moved to Dharwad. Similarly, Gulbarga was a contender for Smart City tag but was given to Hubli-Dharwad. These things could have boosted the development in the Hyderabad - Karnataka Region. On the job front, it is not any different except for few hundred jobs that you mentioned and that's about it.
