There is a proposal to run SBC-Mumbai Duronto in this years budget.
Besides, the YPR-PDY GR is likely to be withdrawn, and run as YPR-Jaipur GR regularly,
And Chalukya Expres will be run as Express between Puducherry and YPR to compensate for withdrawal of GR.(with additional rake)...
Also, SBC-Mysore is proposed to be terminated at Bangalore.....and connection to Chamundi as non-stop between SBC

I believe Pit-line refers to the line, where maintenance and cleaning of passenger coaches is carried out. It has cement slabs on both sides of line, with space underneath to enable inspection of suspension and carriage system,
The stabling line should be the spare lines, where spare/idle rakes are parked...

Cleaning and Stabling
Trains are stabled in depots or sidings when not in use and they need to be cleaned and serviced. Cleaning means a regular exterior water wash and interior sweeping and dusting or vacuuming. At longer intervals, seating upholstery and carpets must be shampooed. Exterior washing is usually means a drive through washing machine which will wash the sides and, perhaps, the roof. Suitable facilities must be provided in the stabling areas where trains are stored. Water, power and toilet cleaning systems need to be provided in such areas, adjacent to each train to be serviced. Access to trains must be designed so that cleaning staff can reach them safely whilst carrying their

equipment. This usually means floor height walkways alongside trains, or at least up to the first car of a set if through inter-car connections are available. The layout of a stabling area is important. Ideally, each road should have an exit route at each end, so that, if one end gets blocked for any reason, trains can still get out the other end. There is no reason why two trains should not be stabled on each road if the length is right, again provided an exit is available at each end so that, if one train fails and is not sent out on time, the other is not blocked in. Of course, site availability is always an issue and compromises are inevitable. It may even be necessary to stable two trains on a single ended track. Even this is viable if management of the fleet is flexible and allows trains due for entry into service to be swapped at short notice. This is one of the essential skills of a good depot supervisor.Train stabling areas are traditionally outdoors largely because of the expense of constructing large sheds. However, covering the stabling areas with some sort of weather proof structure is always preferable. It protects the trains and the staff working on or around them and reduces contamination by pollutants, frost, snow and wind damage. A covered area will also provide some benefit in hot conditions and could help to reduce the air conditioning costs.

From irfca (click here Google) :-
What you are looking at is the yard and the maze of lines you see below has been designed with a definite end in view, each line serving a specific purpose. To begin with you have the 'running lines' which consist of tracks that lead on to the passenger platforms ahead. These are the lines on which incoming trains are received. Branching off from the main line you also have a 'goods running line' which leads on to the goods yard. Besides the running lines there are 'stabling lines' or storage sidings where empty trains are stabled on arrival awaiting their turn to be shunted away to the 'washing

lines' and from thence to the 'carriage and wagon examination pit lines'. At large stations there will also be an 'engine line' that goes to the locomotive shed, and depending on the need a few extra sidings to hold spare carriages, tourist cars, officers' inspection saloons and so on.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
