Trains are supposed to move slowly in these types of areas. Don't know about Khanapur but on Shivamogga line trains move on acceptable speed 70-100 kmph

Why not that part can be fenced from both sides so that at least animals can't come towards rail line.. In Gulf I can see fencing for highways from both sides to avoid animal entry to highways..

Due to forests trains do a max speed of 70-80 kmph in Dwr Bgm section but after Bgm trains attain 105 kmph mps

Even if a train is moving at a speed of 50-60kmph, it takes some time to come to a stop. Most of the time, these collisions can't be avoided.
