If you are using Debit Card in PRS then you are saving some money. You will be saving the IRCTC Charges and bank transaction fee as in Debit Card no charges are being levied by the bank if used in PRS.
ECoR - VSKP, ECoR - SBP, SER - TATA, ER - DDJ and SR - MS encourages Card Payment.

This is disgusting, govt is promoting UPI and one arm as usual is lazy to implement. An year ago I made a complaint on railmadad about this , he gave same copy paste reply ki soon it will be done , I am waiting for it even today !

See actually UPI is very problematic once it starts failing. Many cases are there where the account got debited of the customer but the amount got credited in the merchant's account after 53 hours. Recently had many issues with PhonePe. If these things happens in PRS then ofcourse it will lead to chaos. Card Payment done on POS is actually better here.
For UTS if you use ATVM, CoATVM then you have the option to pay by any UPI App.
Options of PayTM and FreeCharge QR are there.
